Re: Why bother me?
I have been pulled over twice in my Crossfire. Both times no ticket. 1st time by a NY State Trooper on the LIE. I was very polite and explained I just got the car and was not used to it. I was doing 85 in a 65. Officer said to watch the speed and let me go. Second time was by a local yocal in the next town over. 65 in a 35 on a nice curvy road... Officer walked up and said "that thing must corner on like it's on rails, huh?" I said "yes it does". Asked what year it was and ran my license to make sure I was clean. Said have a nice day and I was on my way. Another time I pulled up to a construction site and the officer was holding traffic and I was the first car in line. He rolls down the window and says "wanna run it". "I said, even if I win, I lose. Maybe next time when your not in the Crown Vic." He smiled and laughed.
Point of all this is cops are humans too. Treat them as professionals and they will most of the time do the right thing. Keep in mind all of the losers these guys deal with on a day to day basis. And no, I am not a cop.
