My 04 Coupe's auto dimming mirror went out this week. Streaks and designs started showing up in the mirror. Cleaned the mirror and ...........found it wasn't a dirty mirror. Started looking around for a used one but what I found were all around 89 plus dollars. Decided it's better to spend 88 dollars on a brand new GENTEX mirror. I orderd it today. I watched a YouTube video from a place that repairs them for 99 dollars and decided against that too. However, on the video they warned that if they go bad, you'd better replace them quickly otherwise the liquid in them may leak out and could destroy other materials that it leaks on.

Anyone else install a GENTEX? All the reviews were 5 star. Great quality, works great, easy install etc. I just hope it's easy to attached. I'm assuming the wires will be pretty easy to get too when I remove the existing mirror. I've search a few threads and seen some about installing in 05's that didn't have the auto dimming mirror but none from someone who has an 04 and replaced their mirror.

Here it is. It's larger then the original (1.5 inches) but all of them are. This one has the closest shape to the original, although it's still more rectangular.
