I vote for installing a high end earbud system! Will cost much less and the cops woun't stop you for a noise ordinance violation. Yes, since blocking out all other sounds by way of earbuds, the proponent of more hearing damage than loud speakers, while driving down the road is a reasonable idea. Especially when a firetruck is trying to get by >.>...
Bass can get pretty loud, but it doesnt do as good of a job as earbuds which essentially lower enviornmental decibel levels while steeply increasing inner ear decibel levels.
I would take a dude blaring his subwoofer next to me vs the dude jamming out with his earbuds any ol' day
