Very true words. I have seen the scenario you described happen in real life except the vehicles in question were a Ducati 916 and a Kawasaki ZX-6. Going fast is 90% the operator and 10% the machine. Any ham-fist or leadfoot can point the thing down a long straight road, mash the throttle, and make it go fast. Throw a few curves in there and its a whole different story.

Don't believe me? Go find your local autocross (for cars) or battletrax (for bikes) club and run an event with them. You will be amazed...
