That is why I wouldnt want to tell them. lol. If the hampster upstairs runs at all they will be asking questions, those questions will probably result in a premium I wouldnt want to pay. I will probably talk to them and see what they offer for a premium but I could see them making a big deal out of it.

Make sure you document everything including parts purchasing, and have it all covered, or else they will screw you in any way they are able. Thenturn around and sell your aftermarket parts and make sure they make as much money off you as possible.
When my integra was totalled (no where near as bad as your accident) they said they would cover a percentage of the mod cost and it was so low a percentage that it wasnt even worth it.

Given all you put into that thing I would have been pissed, especially going through all that trouble to collect what should have been automatic.

When in doubt, be honest. Or you can roll the dice, say nothing, and hope an SUV doesn't pull out in front of you. Your call.
I completely understand on the aesthetics.

My thing is, do I want to pay a ton more a year (extra coverage + increase in power/danger) to have a percentage I paid covered? Or not pay extra and roll the dice for a couple years.... I think it would at least be worth it to kick it over with them.
