Edit: Gary, where did you get the 1 of 140 from? After I bought the Special Edition in 2006, I checked with Karmann on how many made. I was informed 140.There were 2 sold in Dayton the same day. I bought mine because it was and is, the most beautiful car I have experienced. The other was bought by a blonde lady.Apparently she still has it. gary
