The OLD, OLD story, You only know how good your insurance company is when you make a claim.
SOME cheap insurances, have some wierd "Small Print" clauses in them. You MUST read your policies very closely. Your insurance company can ALWAYS read your policy different to you.
No matter how much you think your Crossfire is worth to you, Insurance Companies see it differently. Due to the difficulty in the supply of Body Panels for a Crossfire, if your car gets damaged, the chances are that your car WILL be written off, and you will only receive a POOR Market Value LESS your deductable. NOT MUCH LEFT.
I personally have mine insured with"Haggaerty", who now consider my SRT6 as a Classic car, my deductable is LOW, and I have it insured for a Guaranteed price of $21,000. BUT I don't think for a minute, even with that, that I would come out of an Insurance payout happy. Remember also, you get what you pay for.
I do have my other 3 cars insured with Geico for about $2000 Year, and a recent check through "Progressive" was going to cost me another $1200 year if I went with them. ?? Mmm Mmm
