Yeah Kleemann is out the window, sadly, as is the comfort of a big-name tuner. And I think that has to be the biggest tie-up at the moment. Ask Web3.0, the construction was a piece-o-cake. Tuning was something else entirely, and as far as I know, is still being sorted out on his car. It's running, but not "kit reliable".

BEGi won't name the tuner being used, and to date, we're not even sure if they've started the tuning process. Based on the few photos they've provided, one would assume they're still in mock-up. Ten months later.

Has anyone with skin in the game (Other than DJ and Miata) actually sought an update lately? Safe to say, patience has made a poor motivator. The current proto is DJ's 3rd Crossfire, and Miata couldn't be bothered about the snail's pace.

I realize there are fewer than 20 buying (technically zero if this thing falls flat), but there's a whole forum watching. Best case scenario, the Crossfire Limited can still be considered as a viable option for a cheap (and fast) used German coupe for years to come. Worst case, the Limited fades into history as a fun car (but a slow car) and the SRT is the only one that offers a true taste of speed. Great for my resale, but I'd really love to see the Limited redeem itself. I owned one, and loved it. And I love underdogs.

I was really hoping to hear some in action at this year's dragon meet. We're a week out, so that ain't happening. As much of a game-changer as this turbo kit is for Limiteds the world over, I'm shocked at the apathy of those in line.

I predict the next 30 posts will consist of rebuttals from MrMiata and "are we there yet...now?" posts from the rest of the forum.

Next ETA, Christmas?
