Re: BEGi Turbo Kit information/discussion thread
oledoc2u, I couldn't disagree with you more, 8 to 10 weeks was more than adiquit time to do the job. He didn't appear to open the hood for the first 4 months. 8 weeks would have given them time to do the job and error on the side of caution, 10 weeks if things went really, really bad.
No, all builders have their work come out late, it cuts into thier return customers and reputation. We are pretty well stuck with this builder.
To get a group of people like we have and find a new builder would be impossible. Everbody would be gun shy. Nobody in their right mind would give up their car for 2 to 4 weeks and have this happen.
I think being patient and not pressuring this builder to fulfill his obligations, was a error in our judgement. The impression is they have CF 1 forever, wonder what the mileage is now and how much rubber is left on the tires.
Buying a SRT wasn't a option. Their prices were 10 grand more + than in the States , and you couldn't find them. Not that wild about the ironing board thingy on the back either.
Picking up your 2005 Crossfire Coupe Limited wore the price tag of $ 49,595.00 before taxes in Canada. I paid half that with 7000 KM. I guess that 10 grand more means a surperior model in Canada.
Mobil 0W40 oil from Mercedes Dealer will cost you $ 13.80 a Litre, I buy mine in the states.
Everybody going on the Dragon, drive save and have fun. Don't forget you can't have too much fun. Maybe I'll make it next year without my Soapbox.
