Yes, 295's will fit the stock rim but it is not recommended. I put 275-30's and tire rack recommended at least 9 1/2 wide rims as a minimum so I am sure that you should have wider rims for 295's. Tire rack has a chart with each brand that matches tire size with min and max rim width. You have to be careful when purchasing wider rims to get the right offset. I also added .83 in spacers to widen the track width.
