Yea, you can do that, BUT ! It's gonna leave water spots on the inside surface.
( HINT, also remove the eyebrow light socket to allow the air blown in someplace to exit ... )

IMHO, you should just remove the unit and follow maxchicon's instructions for removing moisture .....
