Default Re: XF engine upgrades for more power

That's why I'm hesitent, at idle my lights flicker really bad, with the stock infinity amp, and the two I'm running in the trunk, my underglow and interior lights. I figure with all this and HIDs I'm running close to 1200 watts.

Speaking of electronics, has anyone tried the big 3 wire upgrade? it's upgrading the following wires
  1. Factory alternator positive wire to the battery positive
  2. Negative battery cable to vehicle ground
  3. Engine ground to chassis
Most stock cars have 8awg wire and upgrading to 2awg or 0awg has shown to increase voltage.

Question though, stock alternator? When driving a constant speed, say 45, at night with the lights on, subs beating, how bad were your lights flickering? Just curious because mine do that now with a normal pully on the alternator. I am actually thinking of buying a bigger alternator. Anyone know what stock amperes our alternator is rated?
