Re: What did you do to your Crossfire today?
Replaced the auxillary water pump on the black one yesterday (also known around here in as the intercooler pump...ordered one for the graphite when it goes out...got a couple of Bosch CPS when and if that time comes) and went with the oem Bosch unit. I'll take pix of the old one's internals and post them. That makes the RCM, auxillary water pump, new battery, and four new Piilot Sport A/S tires (yes, it was tough to replace seven year old Pilot Sports with 800 miles on them, but they were beginning to harden) since I bought it new old stock from a Pennsylvania Chrysler dealer (had it shipped to California). The only thing I've done with the graphite is replace the differential (which developed a harmonic around 70mph, under warranty of course), replaced the gawd awful oem Conti's with oem standard Pilot Sports, and had the original Varta battery replaced with a new Mopar unit by the dealer before I took delivery. Aside from dealer oil changes, that's it! The board was and is a big help. It's hard to believe these cars are seven years old now and the only thing that subjectively dates them is the Chrysler family grill. I know a new SRT 6 is in Sergio's plans and I sincerely hope he changes his mind with the projected model and do something in the spirit of the new Viper (anyone remember the Challenger by Mitsubishi?). Most of what he has done for Chysler has been great. The only thing I wish he would do is bring the Lancia back as an engineering tour-de-force instead of this badging thing. My neighbor across the cul-de-sac bought a new red Fiat 500 for his daughter (she didn't want an Abarth...go figure...must have been the limited color palate. Sound familiar fellow 6 owners? FUBU not withstanding). It's a great little car. At least she doesn't have to concern herself with RCM's, CPS', harmonics, and auxillary water pumps. lol.
