The distance isn't important, it's the fact that you are getting out there.
We always wave when we encounter another Crosssfire, but have found it rare for someone to acknowledge. (Typically we get a blank stare or are ignored.) The reality is that there are apparently just a small percentage of us "Crossfire enthusiasts"... and the rest are just "car owners". We agree though, Forum folks seem very nice.
We may get to the left coast someday as lots of neat stuff to see out there, but nine of ten vacations are somewhere on the gulf anywhere from New Orleans to Key West.
