I bought the extended warranty, but only because my dealer included free oil changes and road hazard on the tires and wheels. The free oil changes have pretty much paid for the warranty. Shop around. You should be able to get a warranty for less than $2K. I only paid about $700, but it's not a genuine DC warranty.
