I like to remove the positive battery cable for a few minutes to clear everything, but there is another way.
Turn the key to on position without starting the car.
Push the throttle all the way to the floor.
Hold it there for the count of 5
Without letting up on the throttle, turn the key to the off position.
This may take a couple of tries to see any results.
Now, you have to go drive the car for awhile a little more spirited for it to learn your new driving style. If you just go back and putter around, that is what it will learn. Good luck...hope this works for you.
