I did get the "3xs won't start would have to reset the anti theft system". Thanks I no longer suspect the key. I have an appointment at my favorite mechanic's place Monday AM. Now that this is a "repeat - no kidding does happen often problem" .. he and I are both hoping he'll be able to chase it to "power" logic.

However! Now that I've read this string I am concerned about future problems with the security system. Any way to disable the system completely or is it intricately tied into the computer logic?
