corrosion or moisture will cause resistance. which will cause a high voltage or amps due to the resistance. It may have solved itself. That's why you need to drive them even if it is just around the country mile to gets things warmed up... If you were driving this one more, I might be inclinded to agree with the others, but I think this one is from not driving it enough...
