I say, just drive it and enjoy it. I keep mine in top shape as well, store it for the winter, and keep it waxed. But, I did buy it to drive it, and minor wear and tear has to be expected. There is no way to avoid it, even in the best of winter.
If I did not accept a little bit of wear and tear, I would feel sick about every little rock chip and scratch, and unless you intend to never drive it, a little wear and tear will happen. Chips can be filled, dings can be pulled, and paint chips can be touched up.
