i can maybe see buying an extended warranty ONLY when the factory warranty is about to expire... but some buyers are dumb enough to pay up front for an extended warranty and therefore having double coverage... this makes NO sense. a big money maker for the dealer... especially for the idiot that finances their extended warranty... paying for something you can't even use until 3 years down the road.
