I'd say I have a vision but that is about it

. As much as I love the car the biggest issue is really the lack of aftermarket support. There is only so much planning you can do while waiting for a new MB model that may have parts you can scavenge.
I have a similar philosophy as far as performance / aesthetics go though. Performance + Asthetics outweighs either individually and dictate decisions. There are always exceptions but for the most part if there is not a check in both columns the item moves down the list.
Things like brakes, wheels, suspension all fit into both columns but then you still have to make sure they stay there. I would not get better looking wheels if they were way heavier and didn't allow for bigger rubber etc.
The issue for me right now is that I have a couple things done and I am at the crossroad of more show or more go.
If the $&!?ing turbo would ever be done the choice would be easy..more go. But because that's not on the table what to do? After the dragon I really got the itch for visual changes. Right now I'm basically in a stock crossfire with rims, sitting beside 50 others there wasn't really anything that made mine stand out. (Other than the horrendous squeak coming from the passenger control arm, now fixed

)
Because of our lack of options really my best choice as I see it is brakes. Getting rid of those ugly stock calipers and getting something slotted and/or drilled would step the looks and performance up......but do I really want to spend a couple grand when the current setup stops me just fine? I'd rather have a bit of need for more stopping power before upgrade. I could get an intake, tune and such but that seems like throwing cash away when/if the turbo comes. That leaves me with visual mods but throwing an SRT bumper on, maybe some changes to the silver accents, spoiler/strake mods leaves me in all show no go territory (although that is basically the story of the NA in general)
I'm thinking with the cold weather and stock wheels going on a bit of plstidip experimenting should hopefully help me scratch the itch and keep me satisfied for a couple months on the cheap. Hopefully at that point there will be some options.
