An aluminum pulley would be very weak. Can we say hand grenade?I would expect these to fail like the aluminum water pump pulleys due to stresses leading to brittleness. The rivets will come loose as well, sooner than later. The corner radius is too small.
There have been reported problems with the new EC aluminum pulleys on the MB forum. There were large gaps that are supposed to be reduced with use. Where have I heard that before.
Well probably same issue as with the 64.7 mm . I have that one and it is working flawless. Will only put on the 61 mm at a later stage when all others has tested theirs. guinea pig on the 1st and 2nd batch of the 64.7 ones, 61mm - This I will leave to someone else. Nice to have one, and be able to choose.
