Would you agree he doesn't necessarily "need" them, but that they will bring the wheels out further to where the stock wheels are and may look better. My ET45 track wheels fit, but I may push them out a bit with spacers for peace of mind.
Correct, spacers won't be required on the rear but without them the rear of the car will look strange. The wheel will be nearly an inch further in. This won't really impact drivability but it certainly has adverse effects on aesthetics...
