Only, I am not looking for a mod, but have a problem with resetting the user menu's 1, 2 & 3 to linear, loosing all of the power. As it seems the power from the subs is lost, somehow.
With the 'aud' I can increase the Bass to max without it coming close to what it was before I reset it to linear. Before I did, I only had to increase the Bass to +3.
It feels like there's some Loudness setting lost? I RTFM, but it doesn't say anything about a loudness setting, or (de-)activating the subs.
Any suggestion?
Finally found it out myself.
By removing the corresponding fuse, removed power from the radio which then is reset after powering on again. The volume (power) at the subs is back. Double checked by setting one of the User menu's to Linear again. What a difference! I wonder why this isn't in the manual: when set to Linear, you cannot get the original setting back.
I suspect this initial setting is factory tailored for the proper sound balance. And we might not even need this mod ...?
