Actually quite simple, in the fuse box in the engine compartment, just remove all Radio related fuses. There were 3 in mine (2005 Roadster). 2 for Radio, and 1 for amplifier (sort of).
I removed them, turned the key for contact (no need to start engine), turned if off again, replaced all fuses, and done!
