We commute in our car, and drive to various assignments, such as to Arlington to Cowboys Stadium, or to Austin for state championships. My wif'e's hometown is outside of San Antonio, and we've made that trip. In fact, that was the first road trip we took in the car!
My wife and I have Daily Drivers and we have always used the Crossfire for pleasure and it gets parked when they start to salt the roads around here. We have had it out in the winter but it usually sits from Thanksgiving to Easter. But we like it so much we call it our "Vacation Car". It has been to Texas 3 times, my son lives in Austin, and a lot of GTGs, not only do we get to enjoy the car , but we also get to meet up with some pretty cool people because of it. To paraphrase an old motorcycle ad "you meet the nicest people in a Crossfire"
