Not sure if this helps, but I usually have focusing issues (the full bandwidth of the light stream is not properly set into the housing so it either directs the majority of the lights beam very aggressibly down into the floor, or is very faint)

I overcame this problem by slightly bending the "key" on the HID that is suppose to nestle into the housing so that it angles the bulb higher.
