Default Re: first problem

Never tighten it down "as far as it will go" always do it by the specs ........the reason for the slight play in the bearing is because when the friction heats the bearing up it expands to take up the few thou of a mm of clearance in normal operation. If no "play" exists then the bearing will bind on the race and wear out prematurely. I assume you also replaced the race with the new bearing because the wear pattern is from the old bearing and will cause the new 1 to wear out quickly if not given a new race to run on. I cannot understand the wheel wobbling after you replaced the bearing.....go back in and make sure everything ios done according to the manual that was given for download by pizzaguy. I would not move the car until you get the reason for the wobble fixed.
