Gave her 74mm of breathing room.. new 3" MAF housing.. and pulled the baffles out of the elbow. At 30 deg. after doing a throttle reset she jumped to 1500 rpm.. hoovered there for about 20 seconds.. dropped to 1000 rpm for about another 10 seconds.. then around 750 and happily held there till my foot said otherwise.
I was kinda surprised as I've read they usually spend a little time "hunting" to find an idle point..

Good job! Glad it went trouble free! I have read a few posts where it went sour for this-or-that reason. Yours went like mine, I just made sure what came out (and how it came out) was what went back (except for the larger throats). Happy motoring!

BTW, did you also remove the plastic screen on top of the MAF housing above the aluminum screen? That frees up a HP or two and is the basis for the 'Descreen MAF & Debaffle Elbow' mod.
