Following these instructions and got to the point where I have located the amp as well as the four sets of intertwined wires that I am supposed to clip and solder the female rca jacks on. But there lies my confusion
there are a yellow and yellow/brown wires intertwined (2 sets) and a blue and blue/brown set (2 sets). In all this leaves a total of 8 wires. Am I supposed to place a female rca on all 8 wires, or, am I supposed to twist the wires together of each pair of wires that are intertwined together and placing a single female head on the two intertwined wires (meaning you would be only using a total of 4 female RCAs.)
I hope my question makes sense. I do not want to make a big blunder.

Locate the one with "twisted pairs" of wires with the following colours:
Blue and Blue/Brown stripe
Yellow and Yellow/Violet stripe
There will be two pairs of each of these...
Next, unwrap the tape and follow the wires down the harness a little bit... On my car the wires were joined about 6 inches from the amp plug.
When you find this splice point, this is where you can cut the wires, and where you will attach your RCA ends...
Is it possible that the yellow and yellow/brown wires you found are the yellow and yellow/violet wires called out in the instructions? If so, then you have found the wires, you just need to follow them back about 6" or so to find where they are joined and install your RCA plugs there. I identified in
BOLD that part in the instructions you attached.
Hope that helps.
