Default Oil in supercharger inlet

So, I pulled my supercharger to replace the leaking Charge Air Cooler. While I have it out, I decided to port/polish the inlet plenum and runners. When I removed the inlet plenum from the supercharger, I noticed a thin film of oil. Upon looking further, there was a LOT of oil film on the rotors and in the cavity. Also, inside the 3 cavities on the "hollow" rotor, there was sludge build up. I was actually able to carefully remove the sludge from inside the rotor in long solid pieces with a screwdriver. I did manage to clean everything out with some long foreceps, some carb cleaner and shop towels.

Questions:
- Has anyone else encountered this?
- Do you think it's possible that this is just 85k miles of oil being sucked in the intake?

Note: it doesn't have the nasty smell of the superchager oil, which is why I'm leaning away from it being an internal SC leak.
