It is my understanding (and it is apparent from the diagrams in the service manual) that the pulse module is what auto-cranks the car when the key is turned.



If it is there it may be a bridge box (or a spare). The definition of a 'Bridge Box' that I use would be to hold a connector, or have an internal set of jumpers to 'bridge' wiring as in a terminal box. I would not count on the latter as manufacturers do not put spares in cars they do not need to (but then again, people are human). I take it (since I do not have a standard) that the manuals do not have the 'turn key, release' and it continues to crank until starting, feature?
