I had an 86 1/2 944 and absolutely loved the car. I bought it in '99 with 110,000 miles on it and it drove like a dream. Up until the Crossfire it was my favorite car that I had ever owned. 0-60 sucked, but the car was designed for the track as the car had great torque in the mid range from 30-40 miles an hour on. It even pulled nicely when in fifth gear! I really wanted another one when I got the Crossfire and now realize that twenty years of technology can make a little bit of a difference ( lol ).
