Concerning the camera depending on what the issue was you may still be able to go inside. I mounted my drift pro inside for a test and was able to get it working. The biggest issue is the auto focus when your inside, it wants to focus inside the car instead of out. If you can set the focus manually that can take care of the issue easy. If not playing with the view angle can help. With mine I had to tighten the angle up a bit to cut out some of the interior and the auto focus worked a lot better.
