Hi guys,

I need a little help here. I recently needed my '05 Coupe serviced and I finally found a place in Chicago that I actually like (Midwest Performance Cars).

My harmonic balancer/crank pulley needs to be replaced and they quoted me at $101.00 which is what their database rated it at. However, they can't seem to find the part for that price anywhere and the dealership wants to charge $620.00!!!

They said since the SLK320 shares the same engine, they wanted to try using the Mercedes part instead, but they were a little reluctant since they weren't sure if the timing markings were going to be the same.

I told them I know just the people to ask! So, I come to you asking if any of you have had any experience with this part, have used the Mercedes part, or know where to get the original Crossfire part for a fair price?
