Same thing happened to me. I was trying to use a 1/2" torque wrench reduced down to 1/4" drive ( rookie mistake)......
hmmm.....1/4" on a 1/2" shouldnt be a problem - the wrench would still spring at nominated torque.
you could put a 6" socket on it...it would still snap at set torque.
be rather heavy though.;>)
Its sort of like saying - it matters where you hand is positioned along the length of the handle...doesnt matter.
