I finally got up off my lazy rear and did the ignition key fix.
It had started acting a bit snittey lately, so I took care of that, although I must admit that I did not put that final screw back in the little hole over by the console. I'm found I was just not a good enough contortionist for that challenge.

BTW: for anyone else as stupid as me, when the instructions say to push the 2 locking ears to release the shift interlock cable, you pull DOWN on the pins, the black plastic block does NOT slide to the rear.
