This is a UK (Isle of Man) car and if the date the OP mentions is the date of registering then to us in NA it could be an '05 model.
I think that their cars plated in '04 are '04s etc.Ours can be still '05 models even if plated in '04. The plate stays with the car there.
If it has not got the auto changing rear view mirror it will be an '05 to us, but their cars come with different OEM equipment due to government rules and model year changes may be a bit different.
