Yes it does have an amplifier but no rear speakers like LTD, SRT-6. I have replaced my headunit to accommodate Sirius and Ipod. Still using the stock amp thru stock speakers. I will replace the stock speakers soon. They sounded fine but the buzzing is driving me nuts. Good luck.
