It shows a 20 HP gain from 218 to 238 for both cars (which is wrong, it should be 215). It kind of makes you wonder about the accuracy of the rest of their numbers.
Thanks Ben, I saw the Crossfire listing on the international site, just not on the UK distributor's site. I assumed the 218/215 anomaly was probably due to the power measuring standards ie PS, BHP, DIN SAE etc. I've always taken the xfire's quoted power as 215 - but yes it does start you thinking.
I don't doubt for a minute that there is a gain and that general 'drivability is improved but I would be surprised at 20 HP. Its quite possible to get a 'seat of the pants' impression of more power just by altering the way the power is delivered for instance the altering the relationship between the throttle response to actual pedal movement can make a car feel very different without actually producing any more power. Like I said, I am not doubting any gains but interested to know what they actually are.
