I've always thought the addition heat generated would damage the plastic headlight covers, but I recall a UK crossfire owner mentioning at a meet, that the 100W he fitted gave him a much better light with NO damage to headlight lens
Any thoughts..before I fit them!

No experiance with fitting these to a crossfire Ken but I once had a Scimitar that I had upgraded to Cibe light units & first fitted the 100w to the main beam only, this was great especially when the person came the other way & refused to dip, give them a blast of the 200w would give them arc eye for a while, anyway I digress the effect of such a good main beam made the dip seem even worse so of coarse upgraded these next, but now here is the rub because the dips are more or less permantly on compared to the short time main is on problems then arrose in the form of the dip beam swith on the steering column melting. After replacing the switch I fitted relays to the system to protect it. Im not saying the Crossie would do this as most things on the Scimitar was very low budget although it did have glass headlights, so I would definately wait to find out if anyone else had done it first, either that or fit a pair of Osram nightbreakers as a halfway measure.
