Gary,
I’m sorry we didn't get to see you this spring.
Just wanted to let you know that I spoke to a couple your group members regarding the lobby beverages.
I do not want you or your group to feel like they can’t hang out and socialize in the lobby.
What I do not want to happen is guests bringing their own bottles of alcohol in and consuming them there.
Here are several options we can explore for future gatherings.
1. Have a bartender from Food and Beverage stationed in the lobby to sell drinks.
2. Purchase beverages from the bears den and take them to the lobby
3. Have a bartender take orders from the group and serve them in the lobby
4. Rent your a non – public location ie: Oak Suite (within village) or Chestnut Room (outside of village center)
5. Set up some type of shuttle/hay ride to and from the Chestnut room so people do not have to be on the main road after consuming beverage
I never want your group to feel like we don’t want them to feel welcome anywhere in the village.
Your group is important to us and our goal is to ensure you continue to spend time with us anytime you can.
Should you have any questions or other suggestions, please let me know and we’ll iron them out before the next event.
All my best,
Joey
So with this being said....
It seems it is fine for folks to gather in the lobby as long as outside alcohol is not being brought in and consumed by our group.
I'm feeling better and look forward to being back in the fall - October 4, 5, 6
Thanks to all who stepped in and made the weekend run smoothly for everyone.
so what i get from this is that it wasnt the so called "illeagle alcohol" that was present but rather they werent getting any money from the alcohol that was consumed. for yrs prior it was fine to have the party in the main lodge area. seems as the group got bigger joey saw profits he wasnt getting and used this incident as an excuse to reap a profit.
every single "option" he presents garners a profit for the lodge. has nothing to do with the event the alcohol legality or the people attending.
thanx but ill pass
