Re: 2004 V8 6-speed
The V8 PCM is coming, airbox is coming, and I have a GQ-4X coming which is a chip reader/burner... Got in touch with Karim (Kanzus) who is over in Paris, he is going to guide me through some nifty little tricks with the reader/burner and the Immo. How to virginize (unlock) the ECU's and help me with my idea. The idea I feel I can actually say now that it's proven. Real simply we are going to swap the Immo, virginize it first but the Immo stores stuff like the VIN, key and immobilizer data so were going to swap it over to the V8's computer. That way everything in contact for the immobilizer to the ECU will be the same as before with the V6 computer in. Will this fix the clutch problem? Maybe, we will see. With at least the key working the backup plan for the clutch switch will be Beckmann Technologies. They will build a device that fakes the CAN signal that is coming from the "SAM" (which we dont have) to the PCM. This is why I was asking who has a C230 that is near Durham NC. They have a SAM module like the V8's and the PCM wants to see the signal come from that.
In any case, we should have some answers pretty soon. I am working at seperating the V6 ECU's circuit board from the case that they put a ton of epoxy between. Some people pry them apart with some heat but I am not liking that idea so much.
