If I'm wrong, this car will sell for more than the asking price to somebody who doesn't already own a Crossfire. If I'm right, there will be a substantial discount from the asking price and the car will be a replacement for one the buyer already owns or an addition to the buyer's herd.
Question: do you think anybody who doesn't already own a Crossfire will pay that much for this car?
I am not in the "collector car" camp either---I do not think they will ever bring the BIG money---Higher in 30 years---sure but when you calculate inflation, I do not see REAL gains. I hope I am wrong.
I am with you that it is an enthusiast's car---and to go one more---for an enthusiast who is looking for the "best bang for the buck" on the market.
As for price, in April 2010, I bought my coupe with 917 miles from a dealer for $19,655.00---a blue coupe sold last year for $20,000 with a 1000 miles on it. You are correct and we need to see what happens here.
But it only takes one, so this guy may get this price. I doubt that 10 would sell this high, but again. I hope that I am wrong.
I say drive them---like you stole them and enjoy. Jimmy
