SuperCharger Mod
I pulled my supercharger and did some porting and polishing. Tilted it downwards after removing the oil plug, then refilled it with jet oil from Needswings. In members past post there has been discussions about the supercharger's 4 silencing ports. I machined out 4 aluminium tabs from junk to fill in the silencing ports. I figured there would be less time with welding heat and possible warpage with these tight fitting taps in place. At the rear silencing ports, there's 2 small holes drilled 8" deep into the supercharger's casing. Not knowing the holes purpose,I raised the rear taps so these holes could vent out at a 90 degree if it needs too. Took it to Nitro in Mooresville,NC to be welded. No Warpage, Thank God. Now the whine is just slightly louder during normal driving. Oh My Gosh,at WOT. The whine is somewhat louder, but there's a loud whistle mixture with it. Dogs on leash walking down the sidewalk now turn around to look at my approaching car then jerk free and run when I kick down the car. Twice with very little driving,I have tripped the CODE- PO 108 CNF MOD 10 Manifold Absolute Pressure or Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input. With one eye on the road and the other on the wideband, looks like it trips at 21 PSI. I'm running a 185 pulley. My A/F use to be 11.4 at WOT. Now it's to lean at 13.2 WOT. I'm running the Needswings fuel management kit so I should be able to just turn in the vacumn **** to increase fuel. Another day project. Squirrel Crusher
