If you haven't been following this thread, here is some history for you:

A good week. Considerable progress. Again, I am answering w/o pictures.
I’ll try to get a picture album your way soon.
It looks like driving this thing might be within 10/15 days.
Squeeze, crossfingers, pray, all that sort of stuff. The first drive will be the biggest impression……. But surely not the last impression.
All the best,
Corky

A good week of progress. Tubes and details. Brackets to relocate hoses, etc.
One more tube to make and the pieces will be ready for powder coat.
It took one more iteration on the flow meter mount. I begin to feel inept at times.
Finally got the path looking like it fits in with the engine cover properly. Angles in a vertical plane were the fit that needed to look correct.
No crank up date yet, but toward the end of this week I should be able to make a decent guess.

This is the reply to my request for refund:11-08-2012
These are not short projects, and this one is complicated by two factors:
One; the need to meet the objective price has been a bit less than fun. We’ve more plumbing and pieces in this thing than some $5k systems, yet we have simplified enough items via sublet, and making one part do two things, yet keep the thing in the profit range and not take short cuts. Needless to say, it has been a good exercise for us with regard to simplicity and ease of fabrication. That does not imply fun, rather, just interesting.
Two; the cost to design, tool, make a proto and all the details of instructions drawings, parts lists ………….. is typically $20k. That, in itself is not the problem, rather the level of business this year has plummeted to the point where we do not have the reserves to support a swift and thorough development.
Present status; Oil return system to configure, half the fixtures to fabricate, surface finishes to apply, assembly and testing. Our internal estimate is another 40 hours, or three weeks.
Many details will be sorted on the second proto, as well as instructions and parts.
That vehicle should take us about six to eight weeks considering the present state of our cash.
I would like to wait until we are filling existing orders to make your refund. Yes, we are that tight. One fellow on the list sold his deposit to another. You might try that.
Please do not hesitate to email me directly. I’d be pleased to discuss any matter you choose.:
May I ask where you live? Regards,
Corky Bell
