Exclamation Cabin Air Filter

I was in the garage the other day and decided to take a look at the condition of my cabin air filter. I'm glad I did because The amount of crap that built up in there was amazing! I'm talking about leaves, gravel, small furry animals, etc. If you've never checked yours it might be a good idea to take a peek.

BTW, getting to the filter is easy and should take only a couple of minutes. Undo the two phillips head screws in the top corners (towards the rear of the car) of the cover in the passenger footwell. Push the cover to the front of the car, pull down so the lip clears the underside of the glove box, and then pull the cover out. The filter assembly is at kind of an angle and has two white nylon "sliders" that lock it into place. Slide them away from the center of the cover and it will disengage and then you can remove the cover by pulling straight down. You can then reach in and remove the filter. To reassemble, just reverse the procedure.
