I drive my SRT every day and have put 35K on it in less than two years. If they have not already been fixed, you will experience the common failures. In addition, you will spend money on tires and normal maintenance. The best thing you can do to keep costs down is get your suspension/alignment right. If you don't you will spend beaucoups bucks on tires for no good reason, especially if your car is lowered.
That said, if you can keep your foot out of it you'll get much better mileage than the SRT8, even with the 4-cylinder mode.
