Fault 1 - headlights my main beam and flasher do not work. I checked the fuse and its fine although it seemed like whoever had the car before me had put a 15amp fuse in the right headlight/ dash indication instead of the 7.5amp so im thinkin potentially this has led to a relay being blown has anyone come across this? the blue "headlight" indication on the dash also does not funtion so its as if the car has no main beam

Fault 2- the soft top - was working fine until the other day when i heard a noice and noticed the top wasnt finishin its cycle on the way down it wasnt able to lock. Upon close inspection the passenger side vanity flap (i have no idea what the official name is for this but there are too flaps that flick out on the roof going down and tuck in when it goes back up) well whatver it is called that hadnt gone up but the drivers side had. I had to manually lift it to put the roof down. Since then the drivers side also now doesnt flick up so to put the roof down you have to stop half way and lift these flaps manually. The flaps however do tuck in when you put the roof back up.

All ideas/suggestions are welcome - im pretty handy with cars and electronics and its something i would hope to fix myslef

Fault 2...The flap problem is almost certainly the two inner cables snaging, could be there dry or a cable has sheed a wire and that is no allowing free moment. I had the same problem and replaced both cables. Cable's available from main dealer or I guess perhaps on ebay, or car breakers. I made my owner inner cable cut it to size and used screw type nipples. I utilized the outer casing and that saved striping it out.

Try oiling both cables first. Good luck.
