I would never question the observations of a much more experienced driver like Les but I can tell you that the 8 pot brembo's stop quickly and quietly and efficeintly and with no drama. I know our playing on mountain roads does not push the cars to the limit like Les does his car on the track. The brembo's have allowed me to extend my comfort level much deeper in to the braking zone before a turn especially going down hill. At the recent Dragon we had held back so we could get a 6 or 7 turn sprint to catch up to our group held up by slow traffic. As we caught the group I used that new deep braking zone and hit the brembo's hard and stopped quietly quickly and with no drama. The SRT behind me however was now in a high drama situation and ( thanks to driver skill and anti lock brakes) came sliding past me on my drivers side avoiding the collision. I am a believer in the 8 pots.
Would I recomend buying these to a friend? Only if you understand you will need some one with the skill to fit these brakes to the SRT so they work properly and safely, that you will also probably be buying new wheels and you realize you are paying for one of a kind mod on a Crossfire. It has been said these are overkill, I like overkill especially in braking. Depending on what you want to accomplish I am sure the 4 pot Stop tech's or the 6 pot brembo's that Anthony did will be great preformers.
Based on my experience the $1700 for the front system is a very good price.
